Miserden walk - Wednesday 9 October 2019 Previous Next All Back to one of our old haunts - the Carpenters Arms at Miserden And talking of old haunts, John is back marker We set off down the road Then into the park And the woods Following a narrow road Looking behind us Then meandering through the trees Before coming out onto the top of the hill Near Cove's Triangle Says who? Into Winstone - a shepherd's hut Walking through the village The church hidden behind trees And another grand house As we walk in a line Sheep heading in the other direction As we walk together On a grassy track Before pausing for coffee on a welcoming cross country jump Now in Duntisbourne Abbots With more large houses With quirky gates And quaint cottages Then following an old farm track Downhill again Coming out at the bottom of Bull Banks Across a stream through a field of black sheep Brian descends carefully over a slippery stile While John, with much panache, shows how it should be done Before we folllow the path back into Miserden Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
