Now heading downhill on a grassy track
Which get progressively muddier
Time to unzip a banana
Before we continue down into the valley
Collie dog mistakes ramblers for sheep - easily done
Meanwhile Sally borrows a pole to do a bit of irrigation
Watched by an attentive audience
Over a good stile
No-one seems to go down backwards.
Reaching Avening
We pass a number of cottages
Over the Avening Stream
A sad memorial
Now heading uphill
Gatcombe House across the valley
Trees taking a long time to lose their leaves
As we look across the valley
Now to Minchinhampton and its church
And into the woods
Where we follow a leafy path
Which brings us out on to the side of the hill
Making our way back down to Nailsworth
