Newark Park walk - Saturday 7 July 2018 Previous Next NT CP Newark House. A bright and sunny day for Steve and Rosemary's walk Downhill. Across the valley an old farmhouse modernised and extended Nearing the bottom We cross a stream A farmer busy in the next field Meanwhile across the valley Newark House nestles in the trees As we look down over Wotton to the Severn Pausing to take in the views A steep climb over a stile Then a coffee stop in Tresham Wonder which team Sue will support this afternoon Back down into the valley On a rough track Past an imposing house Down to the bottom of the valley And up the other side Through a herd of sheep Round the bottom of a pond And back uphill On a wide track Reaching Ozleworth church where we stop for a new feature of our walks, a short service A hymn, Jesus wants me for a sunbeam, is followed by a sermon from our Chairman Back outside And on our way Don't think that will ever replace an i-phone Could leave a few Ramblers in these stocks Now back to Newark Park Along the driveway back to the cars Sheep getting a bit of shade Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
