We meet outside the George at Newmarket for Alex’s walk
A bit of a delay caused by plum scrumping
On the top Alex leads us through the maize
There is a path though
But it goes past the biggest manure heap in Gloucestershire
After coffee we head into Owlpen
There’s a wedding on, and one of the ushers nearly leaves his bag in the car he’s had a lift in
The windmill is just about turning, hardly saving the planet
Alex stands in the hole next to the path, to stop us falling in it
There is some limboing to do
But there is WATER in the Miry brook
