Newport walk - Saturday 17 August 2019 Previous Next All Ann starting on the A38 again. Sue with the sun in her eyes We head across the busy main road Which we soon leave Looking back at the old Coach and Horses Then off across fields And round headlands A short road walk Straw awaiting colllection Dogs everywhere Some with wheels instead of hind legs More fields Including one of ripened wheat Tyndale Monument in the distance As we take a break Before continuing round another field A fallen gate provides a cattle grid Over the A38 again Time for a lunch break Now following a stream The Deer Park across a field We cross the stream And head into Ham The old stables Into Berkeley Along a back street Bells ringing. Looks like the happy couple are coming out Must have told some pretty bad jokes Leaving the castle Through another field of wheat A much anticipated obstacle, which experience at Benidorm bull fights helps us negotiate as we make our way back Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
