North Nibley walk - Wednesday 24 May 2017 Previous Next Another walk, another car park We head off up the Cotswold Way The Tyndale tower looking down on us Queuing to enter Conygre Woods A short road stretch and it's back into the woods Then out onto Wotton Hill And seats for our coffee break - some more comfortable Continuing downhill This pig flies Then a field of buttercups And up to the top of the hill Past the ancient hill fort Stragglers catching up Then one last look at the view before heading back for lunch This time it's the Black Horse at North Nibley Pausing at the top Through the woods on top to the London Road And following a broad path An old quarry on our right Views over Wotton Than others To the edge of Wotton Striking poppies As we make our way back into the woods Where we look down over the valley and the nurseries And back to the Monument The Monument providing a good excuse to stop and rest Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
