Oakridge walk - Wednesday 11 January 2017 Previous Next Sun shining but wind blowing a gale in the car park of the Butchers Arms We set off through Oakridge Down Strawberry Banks Into the woods and down into the valley Where they keep bees Along the valley to Valley Corner Round past the old pub and back along the canal Passing the old water board water works with its pump Up under the railway More work by Brunel Continuing up the valley Sun shining through the trees Plenty of water in that stream Pausing on Whitehall Bridge Before heading up the side of Siccaridge Wood Eventually turning off after getting lost Some instructions to follow A short stretch up the valley Then up into Far Oakridge An old field shelter And an imposing house on the side of the hill Then heading across fields Back to Oakridge Where we climb up through the village Back to the pub Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
