Where Patrick and Mike remind us of Tony Drake, creator of the Cotswold Way
Here Colin looks at his memorial. See the link at the bottom for more details
Down we go
This tree says never say die!
Blackthorn blossom
Lots more blossom
Yellow American skunk cabbage we think. The RSPB says American skunk cabbage is widely available in garden centres for use in bog gardens. However, it can all too easily get into the wider countryside where it can become an invasive pest.
We head to Upper Dorey's Mill
Admiring their pond
And over the Washbrook
Heather with Angela, our backmarker
Bags of seats for our coffee stop!
Happy families nearby
An awkward piece of fencing near the old stile
We recross the Washbrook
Many fritillaries here
And up we go ...
Steeply ...
Nearly there!
Emerging near Packhurst Farm
And we continue to Edge village green
Views to a new development
Let us out! but Anne resists this thought.
We head back to Painswick, the spire coming into view
Passing Washbrook Mill
Up past a huge new house being built with magnificent views
