Heading down Stamages Lane
Before making our way along the Painswick Stream
Carpets of Spring Flowers now appearing
As we continue past the sluice gates, water gushing out from all sides
The ornamental garden at Sheephouse
Blackthorn everywhere
I can remember when you took your life in your hands to cross this gully
A useful machine to have in the garden
As well as a pond
Climbing uphill now
A peaceful rural scene
A window with a difference
Painswick Church standing out
We cross the Cotswold Way - looking a bit drier than a couple of weeks ago
Down into a small valley
And up into Edge
Always good for a stop
Then it's coffee on the village green
Keeping up with mum
Another old tree
And this is a pet lamb apparently
A stop for the view
Then we head down into the valley
Up a familiar path
And along the side of the valley
An Edwardian postbox
View across the valley
As we walk through an avenue of blackthorn
And round a field of rape
A lone cottage with views down the valley
Reaching the road below Painswick Beacon
Over the golf course
The Beacon behind us
Looking down into the Painswick valley
Leaving the golf course
And heading through the churchyard back to the cars
