Painswick walk - Wednesday 6 July 2016 Previous Next Jill leads us off after sorting out who is on the South Cotswold walk from the Area walk starting at the same time! We start gently down the valley to Sheephouse Impressive Ramblers, well the roses are Through meadows of long grass Wooden owls watch us from gate posts Mike keeps to the path over a wobbly overgrown stile which most of us avoid A brief pause after climbing Wickridge Hill Orchids abound alongside our route Coffee stop at the bottom of Worgan's Wood A badger on every fence post here Up the Slad valley but the Woolpack is too far away for a drink stop A pause at Slad's war memorial before we climb back over the Frith Painswick is soon in sight We use the new passage from the church to get back to the cars. Thanks Jill for a lovely walk. Photos and captions by Peter, processed by Sally and uploaded by Mike
