Polperro - Day 6 - Polruan, Fowey and Saints Way Previous Next All After Monday's experience of driving in convoy on single-track Cornish lanes, we decide to take the bus to Polruan There is a bit of a jam when we arrive at Polruan Our bus driver helps to resolve the situation. He says it happens all the time We take the ferry to Fowey The Rook with the Book celebrates the author Daphne du Maurier who lived in the area and wrote The Birds Passing an unusual lighting shop with a nautical theme We wander up the narrow streets of Fowy The coast path in Fowey goes past hotels We split into 2 groups, with Andrew, Sheelagh and Janet doing a longer circuit. Interesting Still some colourful flowers We join the Saints Way We head on the Saints Way parallel with the coast, Bodmin Moor and St. Austell in the distance Beside the path there are Corn Marigolds It's a beautiful day and the butterflies are out. Some interesting stiles along the way there are some interesting stone stiles We didn't need to do this We stop for lunch at Polridmouth Bay, and a paddle Time to paddle in Polridmouth Bay We leave it behind And continue on the coastal path We continue on the coastal path back to Fowey and the ferry to Polruan Where we catch the bus back to Polperro Photos and captions by Sally and Sue, uploaded by Sally
