We meet in Prinknash for Lawrence’s walk
And pass the cemetery of the old monks
After the golf course we arrive at Paradise, where the inn sign of the “Adam and Eve” (pub long gone) remains
The garden of Damsells Farm
New born calves, possibly Dexters
Looking over to Sheepscombe
Where we pass the primary school
And into the wood where a mosaic fox marks the entrance
And there’s a correctly punctuated sign to Workman’s Wood
There are still Red Admirals around
And we set off after lunch
