Ravenscar - Day 1 - longer walk to Whitby Previous Next As we split our group the shorter walk participants look enviously at the longer walkers We head off towards the coast path Both groups coming together at the old Alum Works A cheery farewell for the departing long walkers We spot a pleasure boat seal spotting, possibly from Scarborough Two peacocks More coast path Down into Boggle Hole Towards Robin Hood Bay Walking through the narrow streets And alleys Looking back as we leave town A cheery wave of the stick from Tim As we continue with the sea on our right Don't like the look of those steps ahead But there is a good view back along the coast Whitby Lighthouse ahead Kestrel eyeing something up It's a fog horn Whitby Abbey to the front Could be cormorants A rocky headland Looks like a wreck Birds?
