With Richard and Di sightseeing, we're now one group
Tim is keen to investigate the railway tunnel but it is blocked off
The signposting throughout our holiday has been very impressive
Looking ahead
An indication of the winds on the coast
Coffee (and Sue's fudge)
The brown soil we see everywhere
Ahead is Runswick Bay, our lunch stop
We have to descend some slippery steps
But we get on to the beach
And enjoy the feel of the sand
Arriving Runswick Bay
Heading for the cafe
After lunch some of the group decide to catch the bus into Staithes. The rest set off along the Cleveland Way, but gales force winds and torrential rain drive us back
And we meet the others in the bus stop still waiting*
We walk down through Staithes
To the harbour (famous for Captain Cook)
With the polar bear
And strange rock formations
Back to the top for the coach where you can find this sculpture
