Ravenscar - Day 6 - Scarborough and evening entertainment Previous Next Today we all head south towards Scarborough and pass this carving on a bench It's still breezy but dry Sue and Olivia explore this lookout post Looking ahead Scarborough in the distance There's a landslip so we divert inland to the disused railway line Where the old station has been converted into an attractive house Nice place With appropriate weather vane We pass this pub Then we are back on the Cleveland Way Looking behind Surfers Looking ahead We eventually get to Scarborough Past some mariners' houses Very attractive Looking down on North Bay Typical seaside architecture The castle in the distance We come to St. Mary's Church Where Anne Bronte is buried The gravestone much eroded but one can read the epitaph here Looking down on the harbour At the end of the walk we await the minibus Di, in sling, is MC for our entertainment Sally performing Colin does his bit Then Ann uses this handsome model for her buff demonstration That's definitely the best use He seems to have survived And can even do a 3-legged race Belinda leads us in singing, with Tim drumming his pencil on his orange juice Olivia reads a moral story Gerald seems to be saying his prayers Enthusiastic audience Di has us creased up with laughter at her rendition of Pam Ayres' version of Fifty Shades of Grey Tim just keeping awake Finally we present Ann with a gift from us as a Thank You for her hard work in organising such an enjoyable holiday.
