We descend from Sapperton to the river Frome Crossing led by Brian
Good to be out again
Wonderful display of Bluebells
We climb up to Daneway Banks
Five of us in the distance and three laggards!
Here we are
Passing the war memorial at Far Oakridge
Along quiet lanes
To Oakridge School
For a coffee stop outside the church
Descending to the Frome
Through a rather nice gate on the Wysis Way
Past an intriguingly named "I Spy Bench"
Through another nature reserve
And along the canal, spotting a high swan's nest
Which we do not disturb
More ash dieback here
The Daneway is absolutely heaving with non-Ramblers!
The ascent of man
We reach the Daneway canal tunnel entrance
Cross the portal and through the kissing gate paid for by the group, before climbing up to Sapperton
