Patrick meets us at Junction Bridge
And leads us along the historical route of the canal westwards
Now fully overgrown in places
Over hardly visited fields
Knee high grass and an ancient oak tree
The Wick Court Oak is distinguished enough to be specially ringed off
And we see the resident geese
Down we go to the banks of the Severn
What a display of Spring flowers!
We head upstream
May Hill in view
A wonderful climbing rose
Back at the start we see where the canal is navigable at the junction.
