Selsley Common walk - Saturday 11 March 2017 Previous Next We listen to our leader, Tim, on Selsley Common Then follow a track before descending towards Woodchester Blossom in the distance We cross the stone stile by the deer fence And descend through the vineyard More Spring blossom in Windsoredge And views over the other side of the A46 Which we cross at Dunkirk Mill Where Tim tells us the history of the railway line On the cycle path we line up to look through the railings Like animals in a cage Where Tim points out to all non-believers the evidence that there WAS a railway line here These don't look like wild daffodils beside the cycle path Next to the dog poo bin We stop for coffee Tim has his book ready for more railway history for anyone who requests it Up Station Road, Mike, who walked to the start of the walk, peels off home, having already done his hill The rest of us struggle up past the Ram Inn Strange resident of Woodchester - thought the primates came from Uley! Answers on a postcard! It's a steep haul up Bospin Lane These look more like wild daffodils Out of the woods at Bown Hill A very muddy kissing gate Back on Selsley Common we can look over to Stonehouse Before heading across to the car park.
