Shipton Moyne walk - Wednesday 2 August 2017 Previous Next Four stalwarts of South Cots Ladies ready for the off And Olivia leads us along a wide track out of Shipton Moyne Pausing when we come out into some fields Then continuing round the edge Being careful not to step on some of the more exotic vegetation Which appear in many different forms Fields of wheat await us More wheat Before we head into a narrow path between hedgerows A queue for a stile As we continue on our way Crossing a stream Then heading uphill And over another field To Brokenborough for coffee Leaving the church We soon reach the stream Meandering down the valley Another slight uphill climb A house nestling in the valley More wheat fields to cross At least the farmer has left a path A ford provides facilities to clean boots Now following a narrow path Into the Escourt Estate past these magnificent trees And a chance to chat to the locals Before heading back to Shipton Moyne Where we are joined by the eponymous Cat (but no Custard Pot) Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
