Carol and Paul’s walk from Slimbridge takes us across “paddy fields”

With the water draining across the road

We need to cross this

Which isn’t easy without a helping hand

Slimbridge church in the distance, with a drier field in front

A quick stop at the children’s play area

Then out on to the road where the blossom is out

Someone has planted this sunny bank with bulbs

Nearing the church

Then, after the nature reserve, we cross a field

Which turns out to be muddier than we realise, resulting in us having to pull Barry out almost minus his wellies (in the background)*

After that excitement, it’s a leisurely walk along the canal back to the car park
