Stinchcombe walk - Wednesday 13 February 2019 Previous Next Karen and Tony greet us on a chilly Stinchcombe Hill Into Dursley To the Market Place Opposite a famous sign Climbing up out of the town we have views of Cam Peak Some woolly sheep Over a small stream Where we stop Then off we go - not that path Climbing out of the village we look back across to May Hill in the distance Lunch is taken in a variety of poses Some sitting Good for the digestion? They look ready for anything One more obstacle Work on a new garden centre Then over Dursley And we head down through the woods Down past the shops. They sell cameras in there The long stay car park - one day Past Listers' former headquarters - the Old Priory And Downham Hill Out across fields To a plantation of Christmas trees For coffee But into Cam - where we see our first elephant While the other way we can see the Cotswolds, Cam Peak and Downham Hill Some lying But is eating lying down Views now of more distant hills and an incinerator Now out of Cam and headed for the hills Then a long climb hampered by cars With views of the Severn As we make our way back to the cars Photos and captions by Richard, uploaded by Sally
