Tetbury walk - Wednesday 23 October 2019 Previous Next All John looking for late arrivals as we meet in the old station at Tetbury Portable solar light - handy for midnight gardening We head off into the gloom of an autumnal morning Through a gateway And over a stile Should give any horse food for thought Stopping near a farm yard for coffee and cake supplied by John Not as messy as real sheep Continuing on into the gloom Cotoneaster Now walking along the top of the hill Where to now? Some walk across the middle of the field, others follow the headland But we all meet at the other side And after negotiating another stile A wall at Chavenage provides a handy lunch stop Though it looks as if our Chairman has had to rummage in the bin for his* Brian discovers he has a friend after all A quick look at the bird feeders at Wildlife World And off we go again More rolling countryside Waiting patiently to cross a stile Some can't wait and brave the watery gateway Requiring some athletic footwork Then heading through the woods Along a flooded stream Out onto a road leading back to Tetbury Closely watched Anybody want a nice little runner? Finally into the station yard where the coffee shop proves an attraction Photos and captions by Richard (and Sally*), uploaded by Sally
