Tewkesbury walk - Wednesday 9 August 2017 Previous Next Keith and Brian seem to be doing something dodgy with a Morrison's trolley - perhaps they've never seen a supermarket trolley before? It's p***ing down in Tewkesbury for Enid's walk But we set off along the River Avon with Bredon Hill buried in mist The swan doesn't seem too bothered about the rain A brief stop The holidaymakers must be having a lovely time in their caravans We reach Twyning Bredon Hill slightly less obscured, and we can see the M5 We stop outside the Fleet Inn And have coffee Nothing for the ducks Then we head into Twyning itself and pass the school It says 1907 but there is another part dated 1844 - very early We can look back to the village green Some kind of white powder on these leaves, surprised the rain hasn't washed it off Horse jumps Which Keith uses as a balancing beam Teasels in the rain More horse jumps This one shaped like a tube of Polo Mints Past a lake I think it's Gunnera - it's huge We head back to the Avon And walk back towards Tewkesbury, the abbey just visible Sheep may safely graze (as long as they don't fall in the river) Heading towards the marina An amazing house with stunning views across the river Lots of boats in the marina And the weir A boatful of pansies Photos, captions, processing and uploading by Sally
