While Catherine leads us off along the canal
Starting to climb through woods
Then out into the open our objective, Tor y Foel, towering above us
Looking back we can see the Sugar Loaf
But we continue uphill into a furious thunder storm
The weather improves as we head back downhill
Looking down on Talybont Reservoir
Then following the Reservoir
On the Brinore Tramroad
The dam below us
We make our way up over a hill
And down the other side
Over a small stream
Stopping to look at an old tree
With some amazing fungal growth
Eventually reaching the canal
And following the tow path
Under a bridge
A house looks through the trees on the other bank
As we reach a series of locks
Where there is plenty of activity
A seat commemorating the centenary of the canal
Lingering to watch another boat come through before heading back to the cars.
