Socialising as we wait for John to start his walk
Making our way down to the canal towpath
Looking back to the Coates portal
Along Kings Reach
The old round house
Sunshine catching the brickwork as we make our way under Skew Bridge
Old agricultural machinery on the dry canal bed
As we continue along the towpath
To the source of the Thames
Our path leads us across meadowland
Not sure what everybody is looking at
Queuing for a stile
Crossing the railway at Kemble Station
Then following the old Tetbury railway line
John proudly shows path clearing work which he organised following his walkover
Drone activity grounds planes?
Now heading towards
Jackaments Bottom
Then after a short road walk across fields
And uphill
Approaching a flock of sheep
Who stand and stare
Continuing over undulating countryside
Reaching Tarlton
Through the village and back to the pub for lunch.
