Uley walk - Wednesday 22 November 2017 Previous Next Uley Village Green on a gloomy November morning Steve leads us out of the village. We look back at the church Passing a rather unusual garden ornament Now along a narrow lane A pause to adjust our dress etc with Cam Peak behind us He wants to be our friend Jill catching up Then talking to some more ponies Downham Hill just across the field As we continue along a lane Pausing before our climb of Cam Long Down Where we have views across the Severn Valley And up the Cotswold Escarpment Then we head downhill A long slippery slope Taken slowly by some Stopping at the bottom Before heading along the valley Still some colour in the trees Reaching Coaley, a Fairtrade Village, then continuing uphill I wonder who lives in a house like that We arrive at the viewpoint on the edge of Uley Bury A chance for a brief rest Which we walk round On our way back to Uley where the pub beckons Photos and captions by Richard, processed and uploaded by Sally
