Wednesday 14 September 2016 - Longer walk to Cribyn and Pen y Fan
A wooden soldier stands guard in our car park
As we meet to climb some of the higher peaks
We cross a stream
Then contour round the bottom of a hill
A waterfall greets us as we make our way up Cwm Sere
Looking back down the valley
And ahead at Pen y Fan
Time to cross another stream - no bridge this time
And head up a steep grassy slope
Musn't lose him
Reaching the ridge we look across at Cribyn and Pen y Fan
As we begin our final assault on Cribyn
Toiling up
The view from the top - too many flies to linger
Now climbing Pen y Fan
Another long haul
Time for a rest at the top

On a long well-made path
Before a grassy track takes us back to the car park
