We head up out of Winchcombe on the Cotswold Way for Lawrence's walk
And get to Belas Knap
At Wontley Farm I'm used to heading over to Cleeve Common but we turn left on paths I've never been on
We follow a gated road
With an interesting lodge at the entrance
Then Lawrence takes up down a nettle-covered, steps-hidden, unwalked path (sadist!)
Eventually we come out
Only to have to cross some of the highest stiles imaginable. (That's Jill crawling under)
Past hydraulic rams
Through more teasel-covered jungle
That's Sue emerging
Janet is in there somewhere
To emerge at St. Martin's church, Charlton Abbots
Very simple
With nice stained glass windows
And, strangely, a plough outside
After lunch we descend to a lake
I stop to take a picture. "You're sloeing us down" says Keith
Finally we get to Sudeley Castle
And head past this garden with sunflowers to Winchcombe.
